Permit to Obstruct Passage of Fish - New South Wales

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to erect any temporary or permanent structure, such as a net, dam, floodgate, causeway or weir, which will either:

  • obstruct the free passage of fish within a waterway
  • leave fish stranded in one area of a waterway
  • cause the destruction of immature fish.

This permit is only required in relation to waterways that are a Key Fish Habitat.
