You will need to comply with this code if you intend to work as a security officer. It sets out the minimum standards expected of security officers.
The objectives of the code are to:
- promote and foster amongst persons involved in the security industry the highest standards of efficiency, service, equipment and ethical behaviour
- give an undertaking to the public that the regulation of security officers is in keeping with the principles of public health and safety
- set general standards for service and quality of employees operating in the security sector.
