Certificate of Registration as a Poisons Wholesaler - Registration of Premises - Northern Territory

Service summary

This certificate is required in order to register a premise to wholesale schedule 2, 3, 4, 7 and 8 poisons.

This includes poisons for therapeutic use, poisons restricted to medical, dental or veterinary prescription or supply, hazardous poisons, poisons requiring special precautions or those for which restrictions recommended for drugs of dependence apply.

Where pesticides (Schedule 7 poisons e.g. 1080) are being sold the vendor must ensure that the pesticide is registered and the vendor must also meet AGSAFE requirements, including AGSAFE Industry Organisation Accreditation.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.


Up to 36 months on anniversary of application.


Application fee: $57 (50 Revenue units)
Licence fee: $115 (100 revenue units per year.)
2017-18 Revenue unit = $1.15.
