Security Officers Licence - NT - Australian Business Licence and Information Service

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to provide a security service, including patrolling or guarding another person's property.

Security officers are expected to abide by strict obligations and professional standard and conduct. If you require further information, it can be found in the Code of Practice for Security Officers.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible you must:

obtain a criminal history check
hold a current first aid certificate
complete the relevant training course.

Duration

Up to three years. A three-month provisional licence may be issued under the circumstances where you had enrolled in training and are offered work before completing training.
