Approval of Premises as a Quarantine Facility - Tasmania

Service summary

You will require this approval if you intend to operate a quarantine facility for the purpose of examining prescribed matter that is imported into, or to be exported out of, Tasmania. A quarantine facility includes but is not limited to any facility or land which will house, process or hold any potential carrier or declared pest or disease.

Declared pests include certain types of plants, animals and diseases. For a list of declared pests and diseases visit the Agency website.

Authorised inspectors will issue a certificate authorising the release of the prescribed matter once satisfied it is free from pests and diseases.
