You will need to comply with this code if you intend to use a mobile processing unit (MPU) to manufacture explosives. An MPU is any vehicle or portable piece of equipment designed or adapted for use in manufacturing ammonium nitrate based explosives in the field.
This code sets out the requirements for the design and operational management of MPUs used in the manufacture and blast-hole delivery of explosives used in surface and underground blasting as well as other operations, including field packaging.
