Deer Farming Notification - Tasmania

Service summary

You will be required to notify the Agency if you intend to operate a deer farm. This notification will allow the Agency to consider the threat to natural, social and economic values of the area around the proposed farm. If you meet all conditions and requirements, you will approved to operate a deer farm.

Eligibility requirements

Once the Agency is notified, it will grant approval for your deer farm if:

  • your proposed site does not have a significant impact on the area
  • the fencing around the deer farm meet the Agency's approval.
