You will require this licence if you intend to keep several dogs, whether for commercial or private reasons. Several dogs is defined as more than 4 working dogs or more than 2 non-working dogs over the age of 6 months.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
To be eligible for this licence, you must:
- Provide evidence of preparation for good health, welfare and adequate control of all dogs on your premises;
- Provide information on the breeds, kinds and maximum number of dogs that may be kept on your premises;
- Submit the appropriate application form;
- Comply with any conditions as determined by the Council; and
- Pay the required fees.
