Seal Deterrent Permit - TAS - Australian Business Licence and Information Service

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to use a device to deter seals from interfering with a fish farm or another fishing activity.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

You will not be granted this permit unless the agency is satisfied that:

the use of a deterrent is necessary to ensure the success of the fish farm or another fishing activity
you have a sufficient connection to the fish farm or fishing activity
you have adequate instructions and training in the safe and effective use of the device.

This permit may impose conditions such as circumstances, ways, time and location that a seal deterrent can be used.
