Domestic Animal Business Registration - Victoria

Service summary

You must register your premises if you intend to operate a domestic animal business on it. Businesses requiring this registration include animal shelters, pounds, pet shops or commercial businesses for the rearing, training, boarding or breeding of dogs, cats or other common animals. Owners of domestic animal breeding businesses must register the business and each animal belonging to the business over three months of age.

This registration is not required by Guide Dogs Victoria, Vision Australia Seeing Eye Dogs or holders of scientific procedure licences.
