You are required to be registered if you intend to own a horse for the purposes of participating in harness racing in Victoria. You can register as a sole owner, a group (more than one person, but less than ten), or a syndicate (more than ten people).
You will also be required to comply with various registration requirements and obtain relevant certificates if you intend to breed horses for the harness racing industry in Victoria.
For example, you will require approval if you are a stud master and you intend to conduct the artificial insemination of stud animals. Other forms may be required in conjunction with this registration.
A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
In order to be eligible for these registrations and certificates you must:
- submit completed application forms and associated documents
- pay the required fees.
