Australian Standard HB 39-1997 Code of Common Practice for Steel Roofing - Victoria

Service summary

You will be required to comply with this standard if you are a registered plumber, licensed plumber, or any other person authorised to carry out plumbing work and you intend to undertake roofing (stormwater) work.

This standard provides information and guidelines on the selection, performance and installation of metal roofing and wall cladding. The code represents a standard of good practice agreed between manufacturers, roofing contractors and training authorities. The measures contained in this code will provide a weatherproof exterior and ensure that all rainwater is directed to the stormwater drainage system.

Please consult the responsible agency for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance (if any) that may be required by your business.
