You will require this accreditation if you intend to operate a tow truck depot. This accreditation applies to persons employed by a tow truck operator who intends to delegate the management of their depot. As an accredited operator, you automatically retain the legal responsibility for the depot manager duties unless you appoint an accredited depot manager.
You do not need to apply for depot manager accreditation if you have already applied for operator accreditation, as this covers you for both.
It is illegal to operate an accident towing service unless you are an accredited operator. Please consult the responsible agency for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance (if any) that may be required.
