You will be required to be licensed if you intend to participate in harness racing in Victoria. For example, you must be licensed if you intend to be a trainer or driver of a horse in a harness race, or stable hand.

  • meet the minimum age requirements (14 years of age for a stable hand, 15 years of age for a driver, and 18 years of age for a trainer)
  • satisfactorily complete the online Occupational Health and Safety Program
  • pay the prescribed fees.
