Works Licence (Offshore Minerals) - Western Australia

Service summary

You will require this licence if you intend to carry out work related to mineral exploration and / or production activities in Western Australia's offshore area.

This licence covers activities outside the geographic area of your existing licence. It will authorise activities which are directly connected with work carried out under an existing offshore exploration, retention or mining licence, and which are necessary to perform that work.

Western Australia's offshore area extends three nautical miles out from the coastal baseline. If you intend to undertake activities beyond this area, you will need to apply for a Commonwealth licence.
