Service summary

You will require this permit if you intend to provide an alfresco dining area in a street or public place. An alfresco dining area is an outside eating area adjoining a shop, cafe or restaurant where tables, chairs and other structures are provided for the use of patrons.

This permit covers a specified portion of an adjoining street or public place.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for a permit to conduct a facility you must:

  • Ensure that the Facility is conducted at all times in accordance to health and safety standards; and
  • Maintain the chairs, tables, and other structures in the eating area in a good, clean and serviceable condition at all times.
