Restricted Fire Permit - Western Australia

Service summary

You will require this permit if you intend to carry out burning during a restricted burning time.

During certain times of year determined by the Fire and Emergency Services Commissioner (restricted burning times), it is unlawful to set fire to the bush within specified parts of the state (zones) without a permit.

A permit does not authorise burning during prohibited burning times or total fire bans. Special authorisation must be obtained from the Agency to burn during prohibited burning times or a total fire ban. A special permit may be obtained authorising the burning of land growing subterranean clover during prohibited burning times for the purpose of collecting clover burr.

Permission is also required to deposit incendiary material (hot or burning ash, cinders, hot furnace refuse, or other burning combustible matter) on land at any time.
