You will need to comply with this code if you operate an animal boarding establishment which offers a fee based day care service for dogs and cats.

The code sets out the operational requirements that animal boarding establishments must comply with, including:

  • hygiene
  • management
  • health care
  • diet
  • exercise
  • transport
  • disposal of animals
  • processes for lost, injured or deceased animals.
