Approval for Activities in an Animal Disease Quarantine Area - Australian Capital Territory


You will need this approval to conduct any of the following activities in an exotic disease or endemic disease quarantine area:

  • Enable an animal to enter or leave a quarantine area
  • Remove, alter, damage, deface or cover a quarantine notice that is in force
  • Enter, leave or move within a quarantine area.

A quarantine area is an area infected with disease that is cordoned off to prevent the spread of that disease. An exotic disease or endemic disease refers to a variety of disease relating to mammalian, avian, bee, crustacean and mollusc diseases. Please be aware that your approval will be subject to conditions.
