Approval to Alter Public Health Risk Activity Premises and Appliances - Australian Capital Territory


You will need to apply for approval if you operate a business that is licensed as a public health risk activity and you intend to make alterations to your premises or equipment. Licensable public health risk activities are:

  • private centres for opioid detoxification using opioid antagonists
  • drinking water utilities
  • skin penetration, such as piercing, tattooing and acupuncture
  • health care facilities
  • pharmacies.
