AS / NZS 1596 The Storage and Handling of LP Gas - Australian Capital Territory


You will need to comply with this standard if you are involved in the installation, connection, repair, maintenance or operation of consumer piping systems or appliances.

This code sets out the requirements for LP (Liquid Phase) gas storage and handling in relating to:

  • design
  • construction
  • commissioning
  • fire protection
  • impact protection
  • leakage testing.
