AS 3820:1998 Essential Safety Requirements for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment - Australian Capital Territory

Description

You may be required to comply with this standard if you intend to manufacture low voltage electrical equipment. The standard specifies a set of criteria for the safety of electrical equipment for use by electrical regulators in relation to products for which regulatory approval before sale is not required (non-declared articles). This standard is intended to be consistent with the criteria of the European Union low voltage directive.
