AS/NZS 2845.3: (Water Supply - Backflow Prevention Devices - Field Testing and Maintenance of Testable Devices) - Australian Capital Territory


You must comply with this standard if you undertake, or intend to undertake, field testing and maintenance of backflow prevention devices.

The standard specifies the requirements for field testing and maintenance of backflow prevention devices such as:

  • Registered break tanks;
  • Spill resistant pressure vacuum breakers;
  • Double check-valves;
  • Reduced pressure detector assemblies; and
  • Single check detector assemblies.
