You must comply with this standard if you are involved in the installation of wiring for light and power circuits in construction projects.

You must also comply with this standard if you are involved in the installation of wiring for light and power circuits in caissons. A caisson is a watertight retaining structure used in situations such as the construction of a bridge pier.

The standard sets out requirements that are intended to protect people and property from electric shock, fire and physical injury hazards that may arise from an electrical installation.
