Assisted Reproductive Technology Provider Registration - Australian Capital Territory

Description

You will need to apply as a provider if you intend to provide Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Services. ART Services include:

  • ART treatment
  • storage of gametes and embryos for use in ART treatment
  • procedure to obtain a gamete from a gamete provider for use or research in relation to ART treatment

ART treatment means any medical treatment or procedure intended to procure pregnancy in a woman, including artificial insemination, in-vitro fertilisation, gamete intrafallopian transfer and any related treatment or procedure. Separate approval is required to provide ART treatment using a donated gamete obtained from the donor more than 15 years before the treatment or using donated embryos created more than 15 years before the treatment.
