Authorisation for Extended Trading - Australian Capital Territory

Description

If you intend to hold special events outside your licensed trading hours, you will need to apply to extend the trading hours of your licensed premises. A special event is any unique or infrequent event of significance in the ACT, the region or nationally that people independent of the licensee and anyone connected with the licensee intend to celebrate or mark on the licenced premises.

You can apply for extended trading for a maximum of 6 occasions in a 12-month period. Extended trading applies only to the sale of liquor on premises in open containers. The off premise sale of liquor will still be restricted to standard off licence times (7am to 11pm) regardless of any extended trading approval.
