The code sets out the minimum standards and operational guidelines for the conduct of accredited driving instructors. The code covers:

- presentation of vehicle and instructor
- assessment of students
- auditing of accredited driving instructors;
- relations with clients
- relevant legislation
- offences
- vehicle requirements
- appeals.
