You will need to comply with this code if you operate a business that has direct involvement with domestic cats. The code provides requirements for the minimum standards of accommodation, management and care that are appropriate for a cat based on established experience and current scientific knowledge. The code also contains requirements regarding the:
- desexing of a cat not intended to be used for breeding purposes
- microchipping of cats
- awareness of the impact of cats on native wildlife.
