Plumbing Plan Certifier Licence - Australian Capital Territory

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to provide plumbing plan certification services in the construction industry.

If you hold a licence in another State or Territory and intend to conduct work in the Australian Capital Territory, your licensing status may be recognised under the mutual recognition system.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must satisfy either of the following sets of requirements:

  • registration with the Institution of Engineers in the area of building services
  • a statement of competency from the institution of Engineers.

Or you must hold:

 

  • a sanitary plumbers licence
  • an advanced sanitary drainer's licence
  • completion of the Backflow Prevention Course offered by the Canberra Institute of Technology, or an equivalent
  • three years experience as a sanitary plumber or advanced sanitary drainer.
