Description

You will need this licence if you intend to test, use or operate fireworks for indoor or outdoor displays. As the display operator you are responsible for:

  • the handling of the fireworks
  • the display site
  • any associated plant or system
  • any associated activity.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • provide documentation of the safety management system for the use of fireworks
  • have attended an approved training course on the use of fireworks for fireworks displays
  • have the required knowledge, competency and training level
  • demonstrate suitable practical experience in the use of fireworks.
