You will need to apply for this permit if you intend to light, maintain or use a fire, use a firework or undertake a high risk activity. High risk activities include:
- welding
- grinding
- soldering
- gas cutting.
Permits may be required, depending on their purpose:
- throughout the year
- during the declared bushfire season (1 October to 31 March)
- only on total fire ban days, depending on the purpose for which the permit is sought.
