You will need a construction induction card if you intend to undertake construction work. Construction work includes any work carried out in connection with the construction, alteration, conversion, fitting-out, commissioning, renovation, repair, maintenance, refurbishment, demolition or decommissioning of a structure.
You cannot be employed to undertake construction work unless you have successfully completed general construction induction training. If you completed the training over two years ago, you must have carried out construction work in the past two years.
Once you have successfully completed general construction induction training you can apply for a general construction induction training card. The construction induction training can only be delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
