Lead Risk Work Notification - Australian Capital Territory

Description

You must notify the agency within 7 days if you are a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) and you:

  • determine that work to be conducted is lead risk work
  • are unsure whether the work is lead risk work.

Lead risk work means work carried out in a lead process that is likely to cause the blood lead level of a worker carrying out the work to exceed:

  • for a female of reproductive capacity - 5 micrograms per decilitre (0.24 micromoles per litre)
  • in other cases - 20 micrograms per decilitre (0.97 micromoles per litre).
