Licence to Carry out High Risk Work - Australian Capital Territory

Description

You will require this licence if you intend to carry out high risk work. There are different classes of high risk work. You may apply for a licence to carry out one or more classes. High risk work includes:

  • scaffolding work
  • dogging and rigging work
  • crane and hoist operation
  • forklift operation
  • pressure equipment operation.

A licence is not required to carry out high risk work in the course of training towards a certification, or under the supervision of a person who is licensed to carry out the high risk work. If you have completed a specialised vocational education and training (VET) course for high risk work within the last 60 days then you are exempt from requiring this licence.
