Licence to Keep a Dangerous Dog - ACT - Australian Business Licence and Information Service

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to keep a dog that has been declared a dangerous dog. A dog is generally declared a dangerous dog if it:

has been trained as or is kept as a guard dog
has been declared a dangerous dog (or similar) under a law of another State or Territory
has attacked or harassed a person or animal
is aggressive or menacing and poses an unacceptable risk to the safety of the public or other animals if not kept in accordance with a dangerous dog licence.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
