You will require this licence if you intend to use or breed animals for the purposes of research and / or teaching at a stated premises. This licence is not required if the animal is to be used for teaching purposes in a preschool or primary school. Animals exempt from this licence include, but are not limited to:

  • mice
  • goldfish
  • budgerigars
  • frogs
  • rabbits.
