Managing Noise and Preventing Hearing Loss at Work Code of Practice - Australian Capital Territory


You may need to comply with this code if you intend to undertake a business operation where there is potential for employees to develop hearing loss from noise exposure. The code explains:

  • how noise can affect hearing
  • how to identify and assess exposure to noise
  • how to control health and safety risks arising from hazardous noise.

It is an employer's responsibility to ensure that reasonable measures have been undertaken to prevent employee hearing loss.
