You will need this licence if you intend to operate a privately-run domestic animal registry service.
Domestic animal registry services keep a record of the identifying information stored in microchips that have been implanted in domestic animals such as cats and dogs.
A person who sells or supplies an identifying microchip to a veterinary surgeon or authorised identifier must provide details to the domestic animal registry service. The type of information includes the name and address of the surgeon or authorised identifier and the unique identification number.
If the Agency requests, you need to pass on any information kept by your service.
