Compliance with these guidelines is mandatory if you are involved in providing opioid maintenance to patients and you are:
- a medical practitioner
- a pharmacist
- an alcohol and other drug service workers
- a nurse or health professionals working in community settings
- operating a hospital
- working in mental health services
- working in a correctional environment.
The focus of these guidelines is to maximise the numbers of practitioners and workers effectively able to treat and support those on opioid maintenance treatment.
