The standard outlines the approved quantities and purposes of medications for prescription. This standard is also known as the Standard for the Uniform Scheduling of Medicines and Poisons (SUSMP) and provides information on uniform:

  • scheduling of medicines and poisons
  • labelling and packaging requirements for poisons
  • controls on the availability and use of poisons.

The ACT adopts the latest version of the standard.
