Registrable Light Vehicle Standards - Australian Capital Territory

Description

You must comply with these standards if you manufacture, modify or assess registrable light vehicles. Vehicles must comply with these standards and Australian Design Rules set out in Schedule 1 of the regulations if they are to be driven on roads or road related areas. These standards encompass a wide range of a vehicles features including but not limited to:

  • turning ability
  • drivers view and vehicle controls
  • child restraint anchorages
  • horns
  • mirrors
  • size and capacity of wheels and tyres.
