Registration of Agreements for Compensation - Australian Capital Territory

Description

If one of your staff are injured in a workplace incident and you intend to pay them compensation by an out of court settlement, you can apply for this registration.

Registration of this agreement will restrict the employee's ability to seek further compensation in court. As this registration effectively removes the ability for your injured employee to take legal action, the purpose of this process is to ensure the compensation settlement is adequate, mutually agreed upon and did not involve any fraud or undue influence by you in securing agreement.
