Taximeter Standards - Australian Capital Territory

Description

You will be required to comply with these standards if you intend to operate a taxi service in the Australian Capital Territory. The standards outline minimum standards for taximeters in taxis, including:

  • Specifications;
  • Installation;
  • Testing;
  • Sealing; and
  • General requirements.

You will not be required to comply with these standards if the Authority has exempt your taxi for the fitting of a taximeter. Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance that may be required.
