You will need to comply with these guidelines if you work in agriculture or horticulture and your business operation uses a considerable amount of water resources. These guidelines specify the recommended volumes of water for rural stock, agricultural and horticultural use.
The guidelines contain five different classifications relating to the proposed use of the water. These are:
- irrigation of parkland, sportsgrounds and residential gardens
- rural stock and domestic use
- water utilities
- for metered use other than described above
- irrigation for agricultural or horticultural crops
- all other unmetered use.
Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance that may be required.
