Water - Efficient Use Guidelines - Australian Capital Territory

Description

You will be required to comply with these guidelines if you work in agriculture or horticulture and your business operation uses a considerable amount of water resources. These guidelines specify the recommended volumes of water for rural stock, agricultural and horticultural use. The guidelines contain five different classifications relating to the proposed use of the water. These are:

  • irrigation of parkland and residential gardens
  • rural stock and domestic use
  • for metered use other than described above
  • irrigation for agricultural or horticultural crops
  • all other unmetered use.
