Work Health and Safety (How to Safely Remove Asbestos Code of Practice) Approval 2014 - Australian Capital Territory


You may be required to comply with this code if you are involved in asbestos removal work. The code sets out guidelines for the safe removal of asbestos and courses of action that should be taken during both class A and class B asbestos removal.

The code outlines how certain hazards should be addressed, such as:

  • Confined spaces;
  • Risk of falls;
  • Heat stress; and
  • Electrical equipment.
