Accreditation as a Qualified Person - Australian Government

You will require this accreditation if you intend to certify applications for plant breeder's rights. A Qualified Person (QP) is responsible for overseeing growing trials and other aspects of a plant breeder's right (PBR) application.

There are two categories of QP; consultant and non-consultant. Consultant QPs are accredited to act as consultants to all applicants. Non-consultant QPs are accredited to certify applications for which they are the breeder, owner or authorised agent or an employee of the breeder, owner or authorised agent.
