Accreditation for Digital ID Service Providers - Australian Government

Description

You will need this accreditation if you intend to be a Digital ID Provider within the Australian Government Digital ID System (AGDIS) and collect or disclose individual identification information. The AGDIS enables individuals to verify their identity for use in online transactions with government and businesses.

There are three types of service an entity can be accredited to provide:

  • identity service
  • attribute service
  • identity exchange

Accredited providers will be able to display a Digital ID accreditation trustmark to show that they meet the high standards for privacy protection, security, usability, accessibility, risk management, fraud control and more.
