Accreditation of a Power Station - Australian Government

Description

You will need this accreditation if you want your power station to participate in the Large-scare Renewable Energy Target (LRET) scheme and create renewable energy certificates.

The LRET encourages investment in the development of renewable energy power stations, like wind and solar farms. Under the LRET, large-scale generation certificates (LGCs) are a financial incentive for the generation of renewable energy from a power station.

Please be aware that the accreditation of a power station is not a licence to operate.

Service type

Licence

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this accreditation, you must be a registered person.
