Aged Care Digital Platform Operator Notification - Australian Government

Description

You must notify the Agency if you are a constitutional corporation that operates a digital platform (i.e. an app, website or system) that older people can use to access services in the Australian Government aged care sector. 

An aged care digital platform qualifies as such if:

  • the platform connects users with service providers, and 
  • the operator of the platform, an associated entity, or a contracted person handles payments associated with connecting users to service providers.

You must notify the Agency within 14 days of starting operations. If there is a change in the operator of the digital platform, the new operator must also notify the Agency within 14 days.
