Aged Care Quality Standards - Australian Government

Description

You will need to comply with these standards if you are a registered provider of government-funded aged care services in the following categories: personal and care support in the home or community, nursing and transition care, and residential care. 

The standards are organised around seven key areas:

  1. the individual
  2. the organisation
  3. the care and services
  4. the environment
  5. clinical care
  6. food and nutrition
  7. the residential community

The standards that apply to you are determined by your provider registration category.

Standards 1 to 4 apply to the provider registration categories of:

  • personal and care support in the home or community
  • nursing and transition care
  • residential care.

Standard 5 applies to the provider registration categories of:

  • nursing and transition care
  • residential care.

Standards 6 and 7 apply to the provider registration category of:

  • residential care.
